What to Expect

Answers to your questions about visiting Christ Our Refuge.

Visiting somewhere you've never been can be an awkward experience. We don't want your first visit to Christ Our Refuge to be weird. Here's a few things you can expect when you attend a worship service.

Come as you are.

We're a come-as-you-are kind of crowd. Outside and in. We don't have a dress code and we want to create a community of authenticity, honesty and love.

Worship that connects with God.

Songs and hymns, Bible readings, and prayers that connect us to the love and forgiveness that God promises us in his Word.

A message that goes from head to heart.

A Jesus-centered message that applies to real life, and puts the hope that we have through Jesus deep into our hearts.

There's a place for your kids, too.

Bring your kids! We love welcoming families to worship together. There will always be a special message just for kids, and we don't expect little ones to sit still or be quiet-as-mice throughout the service. Everyone is welcome at Christ Our Refuge.

Can I talk to someone first?

From new faces to unfamiliar traditions, visiting a new church for worship can be overwhelming.
